In His Honor

"I decided early to give my life to something eternal and absolute.  Not to these little gods that are here today and gone tomorrow, but to God, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

"All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence."

"If physical death is the price that I must pay to free my white brothers and sisters from a permanent death of the spirit, then nothing can be more redemptive."

- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Perfect, Meredith, perfect. When did MLK say this...do you know?

He spoke the first on February 28, 1954, in a sermon entitled "Rediscovering Lost Values;" the last on June 5, 1964, upon learning of threats on his life; and the second, I couldn't tell you.
